It was last year during food and wine festival at Epcot that I came to meet two of the most amazing girls! Aaron and I were out together on a double date with our neighbors celebrating our anniversary when I saw these to die for floral mickey ears all over the park! I had seen some before, but none were quite as beautiful and detailed as the ears on these two girls that were just sitting and chatting with friends. So… being the awkward girl that I am, I decided to walk over and ask them where they purchased them and of course strike up a lasting conversation!
That is a day I will never forget because I spent at least 20 minutes chatting with Justine and Mallory from Trinket Trove Designs! These girls made their ears themselves! I was ecstatic and I ran home immediately that night to look them up~!
Heck… you can’t live here at Disney and not have some beautiful, girlie floral ears to wear around the parks! I knew I had to have some and once you’ve seen how gorgeous these floral ears are, you just can’t go back to the normal minnie/mickey ears!
I was so blown away by all their choices and their beautiful work that I knew I had to work with them! We started a string of e mail conversations and right away… the three of us were fast friends! We agreed to meet up next time they were in town for Disney for a huge product photo session!
Isn’t it funny how when you meet someone for the first time and you just know they are not only awesome but that you fit right in with them like you’ve known them before somewhere and somehow! That was how it felt for me with Mallory and Justine. Just through our e mails and texts, I knew we would have a blast together!
When the day finally came for me to meet them again in person, I was dying! I was so excited that not only did I get to spend the day with these two cool girls and boss babes but we got to spend the day hopping through the Disney parks! It’s seriously a dream come true for me!
They are Disney pro’s so we got to shoot photos AND eat all the delicious food in hidden spots that they were kind enough to show me!
There are so many stories from that day that I wish I could tell you. I can’t help smiling and laughing when I think about our day together and it makes me long for the next time they are in town!
These girls are my soul mates: they are goofy and silly. They love to laugh and they aren’t afraid of looking silly which is perfect for me. They are the kindest hearts I have ever met and they show that in every person that meet and speak with. They are serious boss babes and I learned a lot by just watching them walk through the parks and talk with other park go-ers about their business.
Most of all… they are just down to earth, REAL, girls who believe in magic, happy endings and a little bit of pixie dust!
Mallory and Justine met through one of their mutual friends while on a trip to Disney! They realized they had so many things in common, including crafting and floral ears and bam… their company was born.
Justine is a clinical pharmacist living in Boston and working at a children’s hospital while Mallory is a pediatric nurse in Atlanta! You might wonder at first how they run their business if they aren’t living in the same area…. but these girls are AMAZING! They have an incredible long distance friendship and partnership that allows them to kick butt as owning a business and being boss ladies! They are incredibly hard workers and when they get together… it’s a combination of work, fun and play that makes my heart sing!
You HAVE to check them out on their instagram because the stories they share are some of my favorites! Plus, their incredible ears have something the offer for everyone! They create everything from beautiful flowers and succulents to beer and wine ,hops and corks, to soda pop ears and pineapple dole whips!
If your planning a trip to Disney anytime soon… you HAVE to grab yourself a pair! They even have mommy/daughter matching ones!
Here are just a few of my favorite images from our time together! I can’t WAIT until we meet up again!!
We had to take some images in front of the infamous purple wall! I didn’t realize that this was a “thing”… selfies in front of the purple wall at Disney! I love all the new Disney information these girls gave me!
We left Magic Kingdom after talking about Dole Whips and Pot of Golds… trust me I will share all these goodies and tips in another blog, and we headed off to Epcot for Flower and Garden!
Twinsies!!! And the first of their kind to ever make topiary ears!!!
Justine and Mallory thank you so much for letting me steal you away from a day of magic and rides for a traded in day of photography and girl talk! You guys are simply beautiful inside and out and I can not WAIT until you come back to town and we can cheers again!
