I’ve been so blessed with this family that I can’t even express it to you in words! We met during a family photo session and now this family that was then a family of three has blossomed into an amazing family of four and I am honored to call them some of my closet friends! I have been blessed to have captured many memories from them during their entire pregnancy with little Miss Avalon Elle and have had the pleasure of watching Miss Waverly grow into this amazing big sister!
I was in awe of Ashley and Joe as the gave birth to little Miss Avalon and their love and strength moved me to tears! In fact, I still can’t look at those images without sobbing and feeling overwhelmed with joy and love!
It was with a very full and happy heart that I returned to their beautiful home to capture (and of course steal a few kisses and snuggles from both of their beautiful girls) this now gorgeous family of 4 in their element: happy, free, light hearted and always laughing and smiling!
Ashley and I initially thought a typical indoor newborn lifestyle session would be great but we soon found out that, like always your little ones will let you know what suits their personalities and we quickly realized that just like Ashley and Joe… outdoors is where these two amazing and spunky girls just feel their best! Outdoors is where this family feels most at home!
The weather, I would love to say was perfect… but it was a mix of beautiful sun and rain and thunder! I think that’s actually kind of what life is like when you have little ones… especially the ages that Ashley and Joe have! One minute the day is incredible and it’s filled with sunshine in abundance but then all of a sudden it just takes one little sprinkle and you just have to adjust your plans a bit! It doesn’t change how the day works out and it absolutely doesn’t make it any less beautiful, you just have to be a little more prepared!
That evening, for us, it was pretty perfect no matter the clouds or the sprinkles that came down here or there! These two girls adored being outside in the sunshine and the warm breeze that blew across the blanket ever so often! Waverly loved being able to run barefoot through the grass and visit with a few of the puppies that came wandering by! Avalon was alert and watchful, already watching her sister and sticking her tongue out in admiration!
We played together and Waverly was such an amazing big sister always checking on Avalon to make sure she was OK and had enough kisses and hugs!
It was so hard for me to narrow down my favorites because there were just so many moments throughout the evening that were real and endearing! So many quiet moments and so many moments that were funny or moments where we were all rolling in fits of laughter! So many moments that as a mom myself I found that pulled at my heart and I knew one day would be so special for each of the girls!
As a mom myself it’s just so hard to pick so I’ll let you decide which ones are you favorites!
These next ones just make my heart swoon! Ashley you are so gorgeous!!!
