The New Website (and it’s creation)

It was time!

Time to get off the comfortable square I had been standing in for a long time that held on to fear and excuses and the unknown!  Time to move forward and take charge of the business, no matter what the outcome.

So I did it… I upgraded my photography businesses online persona!  I upgraded the blog and more importantly upgraded the website to a brand new, more professional business page!

Check it out here… www.brooketuckertphotography.com

I am really excited about it.  And more importantly, I’m really proud of myself!

I’ve been tip-toeing on the edge of this for a very long time now and I’m proud that I actually took a step forward and made some changes toward where I want to be!

Creating a web page is not for the faint of heart;  and to be honest it’s definitely not for me.  I am awful with computers.  If it isn’t photoshop or lightroom, I don’t get it.  I just don’t understand or have the patience for it.  I really should take a class.  Anyway… I logged on to sitehouse for a show-it website template and it was super easy, thank goodness!

And the showiteers are AMAZING, they have the best support/help hands down.

Best decision ever and best suggestion from miss Katelyn James!

When I started all of this, I thought it would be a 2 day process and BAM I’m live.  I had this idea that I would work super hard all weekend starting on Friday evening and be ready to show it off by Monday morning.

Now, I have a hard time not laughing at myself.  There are so many options and choices and different ways to go that those people that do get their website moving in 2 days are down right amazing in a very crazed way!

My website took around 2 weeks and even still I am making subtle changes here and there.  I feel like I will always be making subtle changes here and there as I continue to grow and gain more experience.

I’ve realized that perfection doesn’t exist and if you wait around for it… you’ll be waiting around forever!

So I just let go, had some fun and tried to do my best to be authentic and honest.  And now it’s done.. .it’s live and I feel super proud of myself!  It’s liberating to have it all out there.  It’s fun to log on and see my images and my words put together in a nice clean site.

It’s amazing to me that I’m receiving e mails from the show-it Robot letting me know that someone out there wants to get in touch with me!  That part still blows me away.

It’s great to have a one stop spot where all the information about who I am, what I do, why I do it and what it’s like can be found with just a few clicks.

It may have taken 2 weeks to create (and some serious nail biting) but it’s there and it really reflects who I am!

So go check it out and let me know what you think!

I’ll be waiting to hear from you!

This is what I feel like EVERY SINGLE TIME I take a look at the website!
